Privacy policy

• Your email address and password (the password is stored encrypted, never in plain text).
• Your name, phone number and TfL driver reference, if you choose to enter them.
• Your preferred reading language.
• Your study record: which lesson you reached, every quiz attempt, the answers you gave and your scores.
• Your payment record: the amount, the date, and the reference our payment processor gives us. We never see or store your card number.

To run your account, to decide which sections you have unlocked, to show you your results, and to keep a record of your payment. We also look at quiz answers in aggregate to find questions that are poorly worded and fix them.

Our hosting and database provider, and our payment processor (Stripe), both acting on our instructions. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with Transport for London or any other third party unless the law requires it.

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. We do not run advertising or analytics trackers on this site, so there is no cookie banner to click through. If that ever changes, we will ask for your consent first.

Your account and study record are kept while your account exists. Payment records are kept for six years, as UK tax law requires. Ask us to close your account and we will delete everything except those payment records.

You can delete your account at any time from your account page. It removes your profile, your progress, every quiz attempt and score, and every question you asked about a lesson, and it ends any course access immediately. Your payment records stay, with your name, email and receipt link stripped out, so they can no longer be linked to you. Deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed.

When you ask a question about a lesson, your question and the lesson text are sent to an AI service to produce the answer. The question and answer are saved to your account so you can read them again, and are deleted with your account.

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
